WHAT'S A PODCAST??

A podcast is a digital media file, or a related collection of such files, which is distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and personal computers. The term, like "radio", can refer either to the content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.

HOW DO I MAKE ONE?

STEP 1:

• Download the software


• google search "Audacity"


• Click on "Audacity download"

• Audacity Download


• Podcast Tutorial

STEP 2:

• Record audio file


• Directly through your computer via internal or external microphone



• Tape recorder


• 2 way microphone cord


• Import audio file into Audacity


• Program allows you to edit and manipulate sound tract


• Save as a MP3 file

STEP 3:

• Post MP3 file directly to your blog
• Fetch->hostname: cc.usu.edu
  
• Username and Password: this is whatever you use to log in with
  
• Double click on the WWW folder
• Click the "Put icon" then select the file you want uploaded
  
• Click "WebView" and create a web address
• Hyperlink the web address directly into your blog
